かったかったかったぞう!!!

myiheehee X)

There must be something wrong with my life patterns.

This year is just like last year... it's almost better.

Dance! - (check)
Right after final exam ends - (check)
Three days hard practice - (check)
One egoistical, very gaya and cool popper who cannot count XD - (check)
And the rest, nerds - all from the same class - (check)
Everyone screams like crazy for the popper, who gets the longest parts and basks in the limelight - (check)
Smashing success! - (check!)

o.O" But this year, I'm not the one teaching... I have to work to keep up with my teammates. That's... PROGRESS. XD And awesomeness.

Anyway, winning Talentime was just awesome - we couldn't have done it without the super-pro popping and tap, weird ideas (and songs) and complicated really-hard-to-follow way of dancing, pro editing and our beloved string-holders. My trusted make-up artist, Vivi, and of course the incredibly supportive 2G.

Life is good. Oh yeah~ X)

differences in perspective

Take 1#

Person : *disappointed surprise* Ehh, your folio is so thin.
Me : *beams proudly* I know, it's so thin right?

Take 2#

Teacher scolds student for not wearing school socks.
Student: *ceh, this was the only exception, I always wear school socks... darn teacher...*
Teacher: *ahh, I'm so proud of myself... since the time I scolded her, she's never worn other socks again...*

Random musings. :)

Jim's party was awesome... although I know the people who read this blog don't know who Jim is. His house is like a model house, all white and glassy and furry and luxurious and studioish and carpety and beautifully furnished in a way you wouldn't think possible in a real house where people live.

So far... 「happy da yo」:)

Talent, schmalent, again

This is probably going to be another rant.

I never really understood the people who ooh and ahh over the things I make.

Especially if they are the very same people who complain about boredom-to-death every holiday.

I'm like, then do what I do since you like it so much!
Truth is, it doesn't take any talent at all to do what I do. It takes, in order of importance, three things:

1. Interest

2. Patience

3. Practice
To a lesser degree, creativity and materials, but do note: these factors do not matter at all. Only the three above.

On interest, I think people these days are superficial. They don't care about anything but the finished product (which is what I show them). When they see what it takes to get there (which isn't very much), they give up way too fast. Sigh. I don't even want to talk about when you don't get to see the finished product, which is part and parcel of the process called inventing.

On patience and practice... well our instant-gratification generation speaks for itself doesn't it?

And all this besides the fact that these things are in actual fact, pretty easy to do!

Haih. And here I was hoping I could make crochet cool.

見て!日本人だよ!

Give your stress wings and let it fly away

- Terri Guillemets

Ms Alexis: So what do you call people who take part in the mutiny?

Nel: Mutants!

I've been brushing my teeth with my left hand for exactly three weeks. After the first two weeks I could do it almost perfectly, which is quite an achievement. Problem: I can't do anything else.

For fourteen years I've been flipping pages with my left thumb while holding the book between my pinky and other three fingers. I've learnt to use my left hand to do things while brushing my teeth. And oddly enough, even though my right hand is my much stronger hand, it can't do things single-handedly. ;( Haih.

^w^

Crystal's Japanese girl, Nako, is such a sweet girl. :) She gives me hope that my studies aren't completely hopeless and useless, which I often feel while trying to talk to The Other Japanese Person.

Today I got totally super duper completely left behind in woodwork when I was talking to her. I suppose it's also because I designed something really complicated. =_='' So I got teacher to lend me a tukul Warrington, which isn't allowed XD and finished it within half an hour at home. Muahahaha.

Finally got a side fringe. Muahaha. The stylist said I should cut bangs, Vivienne-style, then I'd look like a Japanese. Maybe next time lah. I don't want to look anymore childish or "innocent" than I apparently already do.

Realization ~> After tearing my hair out (figuratively) over unsuccessfully trying to find a place that sells furry cloth, I finally realised that I don't need it!

After all, I'm making an Ape and a Totoro, so why would I need fancy stuff like European & Extra Dense Mohair, Country Mohair & Antique Wavy, Old World Mohair & Feather Fluff, or faux fur? (I don't even know what they are anyway)

As much as I would love to own the furry and undoubtedly expensive stuff, all I need is a couple of THICK, HAIRY, TOWELS!!!
